Skills and ability to puzzle out atypical tasks were shown us by talented students of Ukraine during the annual contest in the field of “Information security” which traditionally took place on April 15 - 17 at the faculty of information security of Institute of Physics and Technology of NTUU “KPI”.
The competitions were held in two directions: “Safety of information and communication systems” and “Systems of technical information security”. In both of them the first place were won by students of Institute of Physics and Technology of NTUU “KPI”: Olexander Murzin (group PI-93) and Olexander Korniyenko
(group PE-81). The prize-winning places were received by another three students of PTI - Dmitry Ershov (the 3rd place), Dmitry Maevsky (the 2nd place) and Anton Dovzhenko (the 3rd place).
The prize-winners were awarded by gifts, part of which were provided by the sponsor - EPAM Systems representation in Ukraine, and diplomas which were handed over at the closure of this contest on April 17 by the dean of faculty of information security, the chairman of jury the Dr.Sci.Tech., prof. E.A.Machusky and the deputy director of PTI, the member of organizing committee O.D.Vasilenko.
The high level of preparation showed the Kharkov national university of radio electronics. Its students won the second and the third places in both directions.
Now the branch “Information security” acquired great popularity in the world. More and more bank, state and other structures realize the necessity of control of information confidentiality. Ukraine doesn't keep apart from world tendencies and actively prepares the qualified experts for all directions in the mentioned brunch. The recognized leader here is NTUU “KPI”.
Competitions and scientific projects of our university attract more and more students from all corners of Ukraine, moving the native higher school ahead.
