Economics and business activity department team has been industriously preparing students for the Ukrainian competitions and academic contests of the country level since 2007. In particular, there is a creative team consisting of highly experienced professionals under the management of head of the department professor P. V. Krush. Essential stage of such preparations is an internal university academic contest “Come to know yourself in Economics”. Both, students of technical and economic departments are suggested to participate. Such policy allows university to discover gifted students in order to represent KPI at Ukrainian academic contests.
According to the results of the second stage of Ukrainian student contest “Regional Economics” second year student of Economics and business activity department Yaroslava Prokopenko won first prize in the category “Knowledge of notion system”; second year student Natalya Shavlovskya won second prize in category “Fundamental understanding of Ukraine’s demographic problems”. Fourth year student from department of “Business activity Economics” Vladyslav Evdokymenko won the first prize in the category “High level of knowledge and skill during solving of practical tasks” of “Investment” discipline of the second stage of Ukrainian academic contest; fourth year student Dmytro Mostiuk was given a testimonial for participating at this contest.
Greatest success was achieved by the fourth year student of the department – Yulia Tesliuk. She won the third prize of the second stage of Ukrainian academic contest in category “Business activity Economics” that took place during 9-11 April 2013 at Poltava NTU n.a. Y. Kodratiuk and was given a commendation for the best result.
Students of the department also take part in different research papers competitions such as Ukrainian graduation paper contest in category “Business activity Economics” which is held by DonNUET n.a. M. Tugan-Braranovsky. In the year of 2013 Mraiya Voytova received a certificate of third degree for her graduation paper on the subject of “Research of ways of providing Ukrainian production competitive ability under conditions of entering EU” written under management of assistant professor T. E. Shevchenko. Anton Koval’s paper on “Determination of the best possible structure of prime cost of enterprise production” written under the management of assistant professor O. A. Pidlisna won first prize in the “Appliance of the most creative research method” category; Mariya Maslikevich’s paper on “Research of economical methods of industrial enterprises energetic efficiency evaluation” written under the management of professor P.V. Krush won the first prize in “Best IT solution for economical calculations (creativity of informational support model)” category; Angela Lishuk’s paper on “Research of enterprise economical losses due to unreliable electricity provision” written under the management of assistant professor B. M. Serdyuk received first prize in “Best presentation of sphere’s development essential problems” category.
Significant achievements of Business activity and Economics department students shows us high quality of education at the “Enterprise Economics” specialization at National technical university of Ukraine KPI, which proves reasonability and high quality of economical disciplines teaching at the technical higher educational institutions and allows us to bring the level of economical and technical sciences cooperation to the new level. Students’ participation at academic contests is a great way of proving their potential; enlarge their scientific interest and perspective. Thus we wish students of Economics and business activity department professional and creative progress, enthusiasm in their studying and further achievements, as well as gifted and industrious students for the team of department.
