On 17th May in the main exposition hall of National Politechnic Museum of NTUU “KPI” regular scientific readings of the series “Outstanding Ukrainian constructors” took place. They were dedicated to the 95th anniversary from the birthday of the eminent engineer-constuctor of radio-electronic equipment, radiophisicist, associate member of AS USSR and RAS, professor, lieutenant general engineer Hrygorii Kisunko.
Chief designer of the first anti-ballistic missile defence system in the world, the participant in the creation of the first USSR anti-aircraft rocket system, the laureate of Lenin prize, Hero of Socialistic Work and holder of several decorations of USSR Hryhorii Vasyliovych Kisunko was born o 28th July 1918 in the village Belmanka (today in Zaporizhia oblast’). Having a degree of higher education in Luhansk teacher’s training college, he choose voluntary going to the front instead of school class or university laboratory. Some time later he graduated from the Military school of aerial observation, signalization and connection (AOSC) of the Red Army in the town Pushkin and served in the Independent Battalion N.337 of AOSC of Special Moscow Army. Only in 1944 he was summoned back to S.M.Budionnyi Leningrad academy of connection. It was the beginning of the new era in his life, dedicated to the development of new armaments. He participated in the creation of the first soviet ZRK “C-25”, and then ZRK “C-75”. Since 50s of XX century he started the development of the first anti-ballistic system in the world. Since that time his life, his scientific-practical and teaching activity were connected with the creation and modernization of this kind of armament. H.V.Kisunko passed away on 11th October 1999 in Moscow.
After introductory speech of the vice-principal in scientific university work, academic of NAS of Ukraine Michael Ilchenko, who told the participants in details about H.V.Kisunko’s main achievements, there was made a report “Systems “C-25”, “C-75”. The history of creation and operation” by Oleksander Andreiko, reserve colonel and professor of Military Institute of Telecommunications ans Informatization of NTUU “KPI”. Oleh Tsukanov, reserve colonel, candidate of technical science and professor of MITI told about conditions and stages of the development of the systems PRO “A-25” and “A-135”. Aliona Geza, postgraduate of the H.M.Dobrov Research Centre of scientific-technical potential and history of science made an interesting report about H.V.Kisunko’s collaboration with an outstanding Ukrainian scientist, Chief designer of computers Serhii Lebedev.
In conclusion, the film about Hrygorii Kisunko’s developments and their operation was demonstrated to the participants of scientific readings.
