March 3, 2014 the regular meeting of the Academic Council took place. It was began with the moment of silence honoring the memory of the fallen heroes of the Maidan, who gave their lives for the Ukrainian people and the future of independent Ukraine. This was followed by the handing of certificates of Professor Vladimir Yakovlevich Romashko and Ludmila Vasylivna Storizhko.
Professor of the radio designing and production of radio department FRE U.F. Zinkovsky got a letter of thanks from Boris Paton.
Over many years of fruitful work, a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists and educational work Vice Rector G.B. Varlamov presented diplomas of the Academic Council of NTUU "KPI" to M.A.Chaykovskiy, V.P.Boyko, M.M.Tkach, P.L.Denysyuk, Y.A.Yakornov,O. M. Yudin, A.I.Zhuchenko and T.S.Tupytskiy.
At the meeting awards with diplomas and gratitudes were also given to KPI head teacher in sports improvement FBMI ,honored Coach of Ukraine L.V.Denbnovetskoho and instructors of this department A.H.Krylova O.S.Sabirova for significant sports achievement in the current academic year.
For the 1 place at the World Junior Powerlifting a gold medal was awarded to the student FCE Valentine Kozmyrenko. For the II place at the Ukraine championship rugby a silver medal was given to FEL student Vadim Khimich.
After all bestowalments, Academic Council back to questions of agenda. The first report was introduced by vice-rector Y.I.Yakimenko. “Improving training system – is a requirement of time”. Yuriy Ivanovych informed about the overall structure of the national system of licensing and accreditation system, implementation stages of system introspection. He said that to the accreditation was involved 107 university departments, 99 of them - . Information on the quality of training university entrants and students was given, information about major industries and businesses, where graduates of the KPI work were also given . Also Yuriy Ivanovych introduced the personnel reserve of the departments and correlation ages of faculty members in 2013. Finally, he informed about the quality of educational programs, scientific and methodological support.
Then, the floor was given to pro-rector on educational work G.B.Varlamov, who presented his report «Learn today- be a leader tomorrow». Gennady Borisovich outlined the main directions of the department of educational work, including: academic work, academic mobility of students, exhibitions, graduate employability, social work, cultural work, athletic training and rehabilitation of students, the development of an information space and social media.
Both reports were approved.
Discussion of competitive issues and current business has finished Academic Council conference. In particular, its members unanimously approved an appeal to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on issues of certification of the teaching staff, funding research activities, participation of scientists in university committees and councils of the Ministry and others.
