On September 17, 2020, the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv allowed the claim of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The claim referred to TV and radio organizations that disseminated unreliable, defamatory information about the activities of the University (PAT “Teleradiokompaniia “Liuks” and TOV “Informatsiine ahentstvo 24”). Accordingly, the information broadcasted on October 11, 2018, on the news channel “24” and the website of the news channel “24”, in the video of the CIA program about the alleged corruption schemes and the transfer of land by developers was found unreliable and violated personal property right of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Afterward, PAT “Teleradiokompaniia “Liuks” filed an appeal to the Commercial Court of Kyiv. On February 2, 2021, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute won the case again in the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal because the Court rejected the "Liuks" appeal.
As a result, the disseminated information is subject to refutation by announcing the full text of the court decision on TV channel “24” and the channel website. Moreover, the news channel "24" is to delete fragments and comments containing inaccurate, defamatory, and degrading information about Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute from the TV website.
