Witold Kazimierz Vezheyskyy (Witold Kazimierz Wierzejski) was born in 1882 in the village Derebchyn (Yampolsky district) in the Podillia, the son of a sugar factory worker. He studied at the school in Vinnytsia. In 1900 he became a student of mechanical department of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. During the training was part of the illegal Corporation of Polish students of the University and Polytechnic Institute, participated in the editing of Polish illegal publications. He belonged to the main organizers Hnevanski Union (the name of the sugar mill near Hnevan winery), which was the union of agricultural workers, who fought for the independence of Poland. Union closed the royal power. Vezheyski belonged to the group of leading social democratic personalities among Polish students in Kiev. In this regard, twice, in 1903 and 1907, has been in prison four times and was expelled from the university. Only in 1912 he managed to finish the KPI.
After receiving a diploma, he was appointed deputy director of a sugar factory in the Podillia. From 1916 he worked at an engineering plant in Yekaterynoslavl (now - Dnepropetrovsk) designer, technical bureau chief and director. Conducted social work at the Polish Democratic Club, was its chairman. Combined southern Polish Union of Ukraine to the Council of Polish organizations became its vice-chairman. He took part in the Congress of Polish Technicians in Moscow in September 1917, speaking to the report "Poland's economic recovery."
In 1919 arrived in Warsaw, began working as technical director of agricultural cooperatives, and from 1920 - the director of a private association of manufacturers of agricultural machinery. In the Polish Union of Industrialists metal was active in a group of manufacturers of agricultural machinery and tools as a board member, and later - as chairman. Group created monthly "Farm Machinery" Vezheyski became a member of the editorial board. He participated in the councils and boards of many companies, including Ursus Mechanical Plant JSC, Society textile industry in Zgierz, LANA JSC, Bank regional economy, chambers of commerce.
After selecting Ignatius Mostytsk President of Poland (1926), on behalf of Vezheysk became director of the State Plant defense industry. The structure of the association were 4 plants Warsaw (2), Radom and Skarżysko. Plant - the most modern in Poland - made weapons, from pistols to cannons. By 1939 the property association increased 3 times and the number of staff - 2 times (to 12.6 thousand. People). Vezheyski had a direct impact on the development of the entire Polish defense industry. He worked in the boards of other companies, such as coal mines and power plants. Managed electrification of the Central Industrial District, built the highest voltage transmission line 150 kV Mostytse - Starachowice.
General Activities Vezheyski originally focused on performing duties as a member of government established in 1932 the Military-Technical Society, then in 1934 was the head of the Polish Society of Mechanical Engineers (SIMP - now included in the main technical organization). Under his leadership the company grew before the war 4 times, organized congresses mechanics, have created new monthly "Information SIMP» (1934), "mechanical inspection" (1935). He organized the I Congress of Polish Engineers in Lviv (1937) and Polish technicians congress in Warsaw (1938).
After the Second World War Vezheyski went to France, where Marseille organized by the Polish Association of Engineers and Technicians in exile and was its chairman. After the defeat of France traveled to Britain, where he worked in the defense industry.
In 1947 a group of Polish engineers Vezheyski went to Argentina and there, in Rosario, began work at the plant weapons. Involved in activities then formed the Union of Polish Engineers and Technicians in Argentina and became its chairman. The Union has developed (in 1950 - 267 members), organized a public lecture in the Argentine engineering environment earned him recognition. He offered to publish the magazine "Technology", became the head of the editorial board, prepared the first issue that came out, unfortunately, only after death Vezheyski.
He died in 1950 in Argentina.
