What is the work schedule at KPI for services or teachers?

In accordance with the Internal Regulations of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute,” the University has established the following work schedule for employees working a five-day work week (winter period):

- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.;

- on Friday, the working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;

- break for rest and meals from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

For employees working a six-day work week, the following work schedule is established:

start of work: 9:00 a.m.;

break for rest and meals: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.;

end of work: Monday through Friday at 5:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (no lunch break).

For teaching support, teaching and production staff, and other employees whose work is related to the educational process, the rector may, in agreement with the trade union committee, establish different start and end times for work.

The following work schedule is established for scientific and teaching staff:

start of work: 9:00 a.m. (when the first class is held, the start of work is set in accordance with the schedule of classes/consultations for the current week);

end of work: 3:00 p.m. (when conducting classes/consultations, the end of work is in accordance with the schedule of classes and consultations for the current week).

In the absence of classes, the start and end of work may vary in accordance with the work schedule of scientific and pedagogical staff, approved at a department meeting (for a month, semester, etc.).

For some categories of employees, for whom a five- or six-day working week cannot be established due to the specific nature of the department's activities, a variable work schedule is established within the limits of the weekly working hours. The work schedules of employees of each department are approved by the rector or an authorized person in agreement with the trade union committee of employees.

Also, in order to unconditionally ensure the schedule of the educational process, save heat and electricity within daylight hours while maintaining a 40-hour working week during the winter period, adjustments to the work schedule may be introduced (a href="http://document.kpi.ua">orders are published on the Information Service website).

The work schedule during the admission campaign, exam sessions, scientific or cultural events will be announced separately.
