Training of applicants for higher education at the level of Doctor of Philosophy is carried out:
− in the postgraduate program of Igor Sikorsky KPI in full-time (day, evening) or part-time form of higher education;
− outside postgraduate studies – for persons who are professionally engaged in scientific, scientific-technical, or scientific-pedagogical activities at their main place of work at Igor Sikorsky KPI.
The standard term of training for a Doctor of Philosophy in postgraduate studies, regardless of the form of education, is four years.
Postgraduate training is carried out:
− at the expense of the state budget in state institutions (state order);
− at the expense of individuals (legal entities) (on a contractual basis, in particular, at the expense of grants received by the institution for conducting scientific research, for which the training of applicants is envisaged).
Educational activities at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education are carried out by Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the basis of the license obtained. Persons who obtain a higher education degree of Doctor of Philosophy outside of postgraduate studies are included in the total licensed volume.
The training of applicants under the state order is carried out exclusively in postgraduate studies in the full-time (day, evening) form of education.
The state order for the training of applicants in postgraduate programs in specialties is distributed on a competitive basis.
The training of applicants outside of postgraduate programs is carried out without interruption of work or during creative leave.
The training of applicants outside of postgraduate programs is carried out at the expense of Igor Sikorsky KPI.
Admission to Igor Sikorsky KPI for postgraduate training is carried out on a competitive basis in accordance with these regulations, the conditions for admission to higher education institutions approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the rules for admission to Igor Sikorsky KPI approved by the Academic Council of Igor Sikorsky KPI.
To participate in the entrance examinations, a person submits all the documents necessary for admission in accordance with the rules of admission to Igor Sikorsky KPI within the time limits specified by the rules.
A person who submits a diploma equivalent to a master's degree issued by a foreign higher education institution for admission to postgraduate studies takes the entrance examinations on an equal basis with other persons. Recognition of a diploma issued by a foreign higher education institution is carried out in accordance with the law within four months after the admission of the applicant.
