August 30 - the long-awaited day! At last I became the student of the best university of the country - National technical university of Ukraine "KPI". This day was remembered by a quantity of emotions overflowing me and other beginners. Therefore on behalf of the first-year students I want to share my impressions.
As soon as you go into the university territory, at once you feel that find yourself in a special place. Amazes the first building extremely impresses where took place my faculty - PSF . The architecture, road, picturesque landscapes - everything bewitches and inspires. When you get here for the first time, it is possible to travel long corridors a few hours.
I remember the celebrations at the knowledge square, decorated by flags where the first-year students of all faculties gathered. The atmosphere of a large, single family swayed, NTUU "KPI" is called. Congratulations from the heads of university, parting wishes - it happens only once in life. But the most important occurred later - at the department of scientific, analytical, ecological devices and systems where we got the record books. We were pleasantly surprised with the decorations, with interest looked around. The pleasure and pride overflowed our hearts, after all for the first time (officially! ) we felt ourselves the students of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, though understanding that it is a huge responsibility.
We also met with representatives of the Department and its head professor V.A.Porevim. He made impression of a serious, reliable man, for him can and should go ahead. The very important advice from the experience of adaptation to the student's environment were provided us by the second-year students. In the end we received one more gift - the disco in the open air and festive salute at the knowledge square.
I can tell that will carry worthily the title of National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". I am proud of the university, faculty, department.

So, this year I at last became the first-year student of NTUU "KPI". I am a student of the faculty of applied mathematics, the Computer Engineering direction and I am very satisfied. And though before submission of documents I chose between radiophysical faculty of KNU of Shevchenko and applied mathematics very long, I preferred the Kiev Polytechnik. I matriculated together with the friends and though we were disbanded on different groups, but it didn't become a problem.
The first day was very exciting. I, of course, knew that in KPI there are a lot of students, but I didn't think that so. After lyceum in which about 250 pupils studied, the many thousands of the university impressed very much. It was also unusual to come on half an hour earlier, and the first days I was late a little. And I'm not even imagine how unusual is for students from other cities, say nothing of foreigners. The first days it was difficult to deal with the schedule and audiences, because the territory is large, and I'm s not still very well oriented here. For this reason I on the second school day spent a half of the first couple with other faculty, as I came late and was mistaken audience.
In general I am very happy: classmates are good, all professors are also extremely loyal and also the pleasant. The training for me began pretty quickly but still there is no reason to complain. I hope that the first offsets and session will take place normally though, I feel, they will come quicker we wait.

Still before I entered the university, many times I walked at KPI park, I watched students, I tried to present, as though I felt if was one of them. Now I can’t represent, I can give a confident answer - it's wonderful, it's happiness, the delight from the dream that come true.
Gradually you are imbued with the general atmosphere, which is impregnated with a unique combination of training and entertainments more deeply. You learn to combine these two opposite things. I want to have time to try everything: to visit the Day of the first-year student and to be prepared for seminars which will be the next day, to get out somewhere to take a walk with classmates and to listen all lectures...
KPI didn't disappoint in anything. From the first weeks you feel that it is necessary to sweat for training, but it is seen more as an opportunity to achieve something rather than burdensome work. Moreover, the teachers are friendly, try to interest in the subject, indulgently belong to the amazed first-year students. Still I get used to lack of calls between couples, but these are trifles, thanks to it you feel even more sharply that you are not the pupil any more, you don't hold the force at a school desk, you study voluntary.
Some time I was afraid that it will be difficult to find a common language with the groupmates, and I was lucky - we came to an understanding just with the first words. Friendly, funny, cheerful girls and the guy - such an interesting company. With them there is a wish to communicate, we are on the one wave, we have many common interests. It adds forces and confidence.
I can speak about university only with a smile. Despite the big territory, uncountable number of buildings and students, you feel yourself at home if you are on the own place, you are a particle of this huge organism. I never exchanged KPI to other universities. In addition, now I can enjoy KPI park even during the occupations - from the windows of our eighth building.
