Fedir Yaremchuk was born 1920 in the nadsluchansky village Great Molodkov (now the Yarunsky area), Zhitomirshchina, in Peter Maksimovich and Stepanida Korneevna's family. Afterwards, Feodor having grown and having seized the higher mathematics; he became the outstanding scientist - the methodologist in the field of mathematics.

Feodor's mother was sincere, tender, hard-working and melodious woman. Feodor's father had big authority at fellows villager, was courageous (had two St George's Crosses from war), differed from others the wisdom, kindness and diligence. By the way, these lines of parents were inherited completely by Feodor Petrovitch.
Golodomorny 1933 was given the terrible. The family in which was six small children, didn't sustain: sister Nina, after her three-year-old Kolya, after him the uncle dies, both still, and the hand of hunger still took away relatives..."Fir-trees an orach, a sorrel, a beet tops of vegetable, bark from trees. And still I don't know how survived, didn't go mad... Unless it is possible to remember quietly how villages became extinct, a cannibalism, how "activists" to a kernel removed poor stocks not only farms, but also peasants on account of deliveries? " - Tatyana Petrovna, Feodor's elder sister, later remembered 1937 - velikoterorny. Arrest of the father. To the father incriminated espionage activity in favor of Poland that it wasn't difficult to prove: after all in 20 km from the village the Polish border stretched.
Many people from the village were arrested: 41 men took away from 40 yards. On December 24 the same year, his father was shot.

Only in 30 years the reference came from a military court of the Prikarpatsky military district that "The resolution of December 14, 1937 on Yaremchuk P. N. is cancelled and business on it is stopped by legal proceedings".

To Feodor - the son of "the enemy of the people", it was hard to make the way in science. Expelled from school, didn't admit to institute. But in the world not without kind people - and Feodor left secondary school. Further took an external degree and almost at the same time 1939 he began the labor activity - the mathematics teacher in Girkivsky rural school.

Then - war, mobilization in army. Feodor Petrovitch participates in release of the Homeland and Europe from Nazism. And here differs special gallantry and courage as the army scout. He is awarded by many military awards.
Only after the front, as mentioned Fedor Petrovich, he was fortunate to join the correspondence department of the Kiev Pedagogical Institute.

After the graduating he had two recommendations in postgraduate study, but all petitions of the honored worker of science, professor A.N.Astryab and the corresponding member of AN of USSR E.Ya. Remeza before the Ministry of Education about F.Yaremchuk's reception in postgraduate study were vain: he is a son of "the enemy of the people"...

And again teacher's work - at high school, since 1950 - at Drogobychsky regional institute of improvement of teachers, and since 1954 - at the Kiev Polytechnical Institute on chair of the higher mathematics where he passes all steps of pedagogical work (the assistant, the senior teacher, the associate professor, the professor, the head of the department).

He was captured by post-war practice of construction of hydraulic engineering and hydromeliorative constructions. It goes deep into research of important tasks of the mathematical theory of a filtration. In the master's thesis "Application of a method of consecutive conformal displays to the solution of problems of a free filtration from opened the courses" (1962) Feodor Petrovitch investigated practical types of tasks about a water filtration from channels and courses any cross section in a case when the line of a section of the soil and a draining layer has any configuration.

The same time within several decades Feodor Petrovitch works over improvement of a technique of teaching of mathematics in establishments of secondary and higher education, develops and scientifically proves methods of the analysis of educational process in higher education institutions and means of increase of its efficiency, makes many valuable recommendations about the organization, carrying out and the analysis of control student's works, written examinations in mathematics etc.

Feodor Petrovitch published more than 125 scientific and methodical works, including 16 books, textbooks, manuals. To acquaintance and study interesting scientific and methodical experience of F.Yaremchuk there came high school delegations from many cities of Ukraine and from abroad.

Since 1959 Feodor Petrovitch - the member of the Scientific and methodical commission on mathematics at Minvuza Ukrainy, since 1969 - the vice-chairman of this commission, in 1973-1979 - the member of methodical council on mathematics at Minvuza of the USSR.

The talented teacher, vigorous, initiative worker of mathematical education in Ukraine, Feodor Petrovitch some tens years gave lectures on advanced training courses of mathematics teachers, at numerous zone, republican, regional seminars. "His original, distinctive, sometimes absolutely unexpected approaches to tasks, profound knowledge of mathematics, a high technique of a statement, wisdom and healthy humour - as leading stars in our daily work", - were remembered by one of teachers listeners.

Yes, Feodor Petrovitch's lectures were the real example of pedagogical skill. It skillfully combined scientific depth with external simplicity of a statement, the clearness and brevity with a big information saturation. Аddressing to students, figuratively and vividly he such prosaic, apparently, tells business, as... examinations: "... complex of examinations... resembles a way of studying of a song. At first it is necessary to learn the text and to be convinced that it is acquired - it is the first examination. Further assimilation of each couplet is separately checked. In our terminology so many examinations, how many couplets in the song for this purpose are necessary. But set of the isolated couplets is not the song. We want to hear as it sounds as a whole - and to us it is necessary finishing examination"
His pedagogical talent, inexhaustible initiative, rare working capacity, exclusive modesty, humanity and adherence to principles took both students, and fellow workers.

Feodor Petrovitch gave more than 60 years of the life to pedagogical work. The vital credo - "to create, investigate, study and teach mathematics" - Feodor Petrovitch consistently, persistently, continuously embodied in life. He couldn't live without labour, without mathematics! His life is really a brilliant example of dedicated service of education business.

On October 26, 2001 prematurely and unexpectedly Feodor Petrovitch died.

Eternal memory, bow and glory to you, our great unforgettable Teacher!
