KPI has demonstrated its scientific, innovative and research competitiveness. On May 13-16, 2024, the International IEEE Conference on Electronics and Nanotechnology ELNANO-2024 was held.
The conference was organized in three sections: "Micro- and Nanoelectronics" (74 reports), "Biomedical Engineering" (25 reports), "Electronic Devices and Signal Processing" (35 reports). It was attended by 134 speakers from 22 countries. The authors of about 40% of the scientific articles presented were representatives of NTUU "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". The authors' teams also include KPI students - masters and postgraduate students who are working on their dissertations.
"Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute demonstrated the ability to set trends at the international conference ELNANO-2024. For example, scientific representatives of our university presented solar panels for a nanosatellite. KPI is one of the few universities that have their own experience in developing and launching nanosatellites into space," said Yuriy Yakymenko, Honorary Chairman of the ELNANO-2024 Organizing Committee, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Among other things, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute presented reports on the latest biomedical technologies relevant for Ukraine and the world, which, in particular, improve the diagnosis of heart disease, cardiogram signal processing, computed tomography, technologies for studying the internal organs of the human body, biomolecule sensors, etc. Scientists of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute presented their works performed in cooperation with other higher education institutions of Ukraine, in particular with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, such as the Institute of Hydromechanics, the Institute of Magnetism, international partners - scientists from Germany, Ireland, Australia and others.
In their papers, the conference participants presented practical and experimental research, touched upon the synthesis of new materials, materials science, technology synthesis, manufacturing, measurement, testing, and improvement of materials and technologies. Upon completion of the conference, these papers will be submitted to the IEEE XPLORE DIGITAL LIBRARY, which is indexed by the international scientific and metric databases SCOPUS and Web of Science.
