During the audit of certain issues of financial and economic activities of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for the period from 01.12.2018 to 31.10.2022, the State Audit Service of Ukraine (SASU) checked the amount of funding for the University in the amount of UAH 8,382.0 million, including UAH 6,052.1 million from the general fund and UAH 2,329.9 million from the special fund.
According to the SASU, the total amount of violations is UAH 14.4 million, or 0.17% of the audited amount of funding for the University. Of these, the amount of financial violations was determined to be UAH 6.67 million, of which UAH 3.5 million was eliminated during the audit. These violations were the result of imperfections in regulatory legislation, technical and mechanical errors of the University's employees, which did not lead to losses or damages to the state budget.
The University does not agree with the grounds and reasons for identifying and recording the violations specified in the act. The University's position is set out in its responses to the SASU's inquiries during the audit and in its objections to the act.
The materials of the audit were carefully analyzed; measures were developed to eliminate them; the perpetrators were brought to disciplinary responsibility and warned about the prevention of violations in future work.
We note that most of the violations were eliminated during the audit. The University is currently eliminating other violations by filing claims against third parties, corresponding and exchanging documents with relevant legal entities, government agencies and other entities.
The University reserves the legal right to apply to independent expert institutions to obtain an objective assessment of its performance, as well as to protect its business reputation in court.
