The reports about the success of the young boxer Andriy Timko appear periodically on the page of the Department of Sport Improvement of FBMI and at sports sites. This is the last one: “The Boxing Championship of the Kyiv region among juniors and men took place from February 21st to 23rd at the Brovarsky College of Physical Culture and Sports. About 100 sportsmen from 26 Kyiv regions and towns were taking part in this championship in order to get the honorable right to participate in the championships of Ukraine. Andriy Timko (69 kg) won the first place in a decisive battle among the men who were born in 2000 and older.”
This name is new for Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute because the student studies only on the second course, but he is a famous person on the sports field (candidate of masters sport), he has been improving his sports skills for 8 years (at first in Brovary at the coach V.A. Lavrynets, and subsequently at the Kyiv Polytechnic institute, the coach D.P. Zapolsky).
In educational audiences on FICS the young man masters fundamentals of computer engineering, but on the ring he shows the speed, accuracy, physical endurance, ability to control the actions and emotions.
The sportsman successfully competes for Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute at competitions of various levels. Among his sporting achievements are the following: the champion of the regional championship of Ukraine, the champion of Kyiv region 2016, 2017, 2019, the champion of Sports contest of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the prize-winner of the championship of Kyiv among students of 2018, 2019.
Nowadays efforts of the boxer are directed to acquiring of the standard of the Master of Sports of Ukraine. He is grateful to coaches and mentors for knowledge, the help and support, to administrations of faculty – for understanding and assistance.
