On April 2, 2018, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the University took place.
It began with the greetings of the jubilians: the professor of the Department of Radio Engineering, Prof. Yu.F. Zinkovskyi, Dean of the Faculty of Electroenergetics and Automatics, Dr.Sci., Prof. O.S.Yandulskyi, Director of the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management Prof. S.P. Denisyuk and Head of the Department of Electrical Welding Systems, Ph.D., Professor I.O.Skachkov.
The main issues on the agenda were the approval of professional training programs, reported by the first pro-rector Yu.I.Yakimenko. Yuriy Ivanovych emphasized the hierarchical connection between the names of the specialty, educational program and specialization. It was noted that the name of the educational program can not be wider than the name of the specialty, and the name of specialization can not be wider than the name of the educational program. There was also a list of educational programs in the specialties of Igor Sikorsky KPI. After consideration of the issue by the members of the Academic Council, it was decided to approve educational programs for the preparation of applicants for higher education for the bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees.
Finally, the participants of the meeting considered the competition issues and current affairs, in particular, the approval of the decisions of the IEE and FEA councils regarding the election of the director of the institute and the dean of the faculty, the issue of recommending the awarding of departmental and state awards to employees of the Igor Sikorsky KPI and the issue of recommending the publication of periodical scientific publications of the University.
