NTUU “KPI” and “Astelit” Ltd. that specializes in mobile communication services under «life:) trademark signed the cooperation Memorandum in December, 22.
Rector, academician of Ukrainian NAS Mychailo Zgurovskyi and pro-rector for academic work, director of Institute of telecommunication systems of NTUU, academician of Ukrainian NAS Mychailo Ilchenko signed memorandum on behalf of NTUU “KPI”. On behalf of “Astelit” Ltd. – chief executive officer of the company Burak Ersoi and its chief financial officer, Erdal Yaila.
The document envisages the main directions for university and “Astelit” company activity and it is aimed at cooperation and providing high level of professional training of students (particularly in telecommunication field) as well as organization of educational, scientific, technical, information and academic activities etc. However this is not just intentions declare: the second and the third clauses of Memorandum say that there are going to be two laboratory rooms in KPI – «life:) lab». They will work on the basis of Institute of telecommunication systems. The samples of telecommunication equipment can be found in one of these rooms, the other one will be equipped for distance work. The company has already started to equip it and during the next year it will provide support with its exploitation. However, the university will not only use it in the studying process but also it has to contribute to realization of different educational projects as well as to provide information support.
As Mychailo Zgurovskyi stated in the process of its discussion, the memorandum ratification creates only the common cooperation framework. Its directions, conditions and tasks may be detailed due to particular projects. Moreover, there is a freedom to cooperation between company that is one of the leaders at the national market of telecommunications and university that is the leader in national higher education. It may develop not only in the field of high qualified specialists training that telecommunication filed being interested in and “Astelit” company, in particular, but also in scientific and technical sileds; in company’s taking part in realization of major university projects (e.g. «Smart Campus») or festival of innovative projects «Sikorsky Challenge» etc.
