The Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Ukraine Herman Dominguez visited NTUU "KPI" on May 27th.
Argentina and Ukraine have close diplomatic relations, which contributes to the fruitful development of cultural, scientific and educational ties between the two countries. An important direction in this work is Argentina diplomatic representation organization of variety of cultural activities, the purpose of which is to familiarize our compatriots with contemporary works of Argentine literature, art and cinema.
On of such activities was the meeting of the Minister-counselor of the Embassy of Argentina with students of the linguistic faculty of “KPI”. The Deputy Dean of the faculty Olga Demidenko and the head of its International office Svetlana Seleznyova were its moderators. In the context of the course "History of foreign literature" Herman Dominguez gave students a lecture on the literary legacy of the famous Argentine writers Ernesto Sabato, Jorge Luis Borges, of Leopoldo Lugones, Julio Cortazar, Federico Andahazi and donated to the University their books in Ukrainian translations on behalf of the Embassy.
With great interest participants of the meeting also discussed with the Minister-counselor of the Embassy of Argentina issues of student exchanges and opportunities for building relationships with peers in Argentina.
