Whatever you say, all the strange and mysterious attracts people like a magnet. And where is a strange - there is at once a magic. Maybe that's why so much in common, even in the words "magnet" and "magic." "Miracles are not contrary to nature, but our knoledge about nature," - said at the time Augustine. Over time, the wonders of moving into the category of well-known, and then the ordinary. What was once considered magic, is a science. But no matter how much we did not find out before us always reveal new horizons unknown. Therefore, in our lives, as they say, there is always a miracle.
Choosing my path in the science many years ago, I had no idea that the word "magic" is in some way related to my professional activities. But miracles do happen ... One director Institute of Physics and Technology, Alexei Novikov invited me to an interesting conversation. It should be noted that at IPT, besides teaching, I am also preparing students for various Olympiads and scientific competitions in physics. So I think we are going to discuss what our deeds "Olympiad". However, it turned out that Alexei captured an entirely new idea, namely the creation of a student's scientific theater. What is theater? We are not actors, not the director, we - scientists and prepare engineers and scientists. But the boss was full of enthusiasm and belief in success, and I decided to try ... The thing for me was a new and unknown. "Is physics, which I love so much, is not the same for many unknown and mysterious, just like magic?" - I was thinking. Thus was born the name of our scientific theater "Magic Lab". Then there was the search for interesting experiments, equipment and associates. The usual process started, when the idea of being implemented. "The Way of a thousand miles begins with a single step" - Chinese proverb says. This step was taken, and the way it is ... as knowledge - is endless. Today, our theater has a lot of interesting numbers: liquid nitrogen, superconductivity, metals with form memory, different magnets, the Stirling engine powered by a cup of tea, and a lot more then ... Arsenal of our magic varies from levitation of objects and burning water for older students to show "bubble" for the youngest viewers. We have participated in various international projects related to the proliferation of scientific knowledge among children and young people: "Intel-Techno", "Spark Lab", "Scientific picnics." But it's all the way, and the purpose - to show that knowledge is converted to an unknown and terrifying at the familiar and pleasant, but no less interesting.
