YM Kalnibolotskyy was born in 1933, in 1957 he graduated from the Radio Engineering Department of NTUU "KPI" and according to the distribution he was sent as assistant of the department of electronic and ionic devices.
In 1960 he entered the graduate school of the KPI, which ended prematurely defense of a dissertation. After graduation he worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor.
In 1970 he defended his doctoral thesis. In those years in Ukraine Scientific School (Kyiv-Lviv) was consisted from analysis and synthesis of electronic circuits and one of the founders was Professor. Y. M. Kalnibolotskyy. The results of his studies were published in professional journals, monographs and textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
In 1974, Y. M. Kalnibolotskyy received a certificate as a Professor, he prepared and read lectures for students "Synthesis of electronic circuits" and published (in collaboration) tutorial of the same name.
In 1975, Professor. Y. M. Kalnibolotskyy was elected as a head of the Department of dielectrics and semiconductors (microelectronics). Under his leadership, curriculum specialty was improved, material resources department was updated and a new industrial research laboratory was created.
In 1975, Professor. Y. M. Kalnibolotskyy was elected as a Dean of the Faculty of electronic engineering. Over 8 years of his deanery the Faculty repeatedly has won first place among all the departments of the institute.
In 1985 Rector instructs Y. M. Kalnibolotskyy to create a new department for training students on specialty "Production of electronic media." For several years, personnel, logistical and methodological issues concerning the preparation of engineering personnel department have been resolved .
First many new lectures were prepared and read by the head of the department and then it was passed on younger colleagues, he sincerely shared with them knowledge and experience. For example professor. Y. M. Kalnibolotskyy prepared and read courses in "Artificial Intelligence", "Expert Systems", "Fuzzy Sets", "Neural Networks", "Genetic algorithms". This legacy was the foundation of a new scientific direction in the department "Creative methods for solving complex problems," where now some masters and graduate students are working.
Prof. Y.M. Kalnibolotskyy actively participated in scientific and social work and spoke to students in the newest areas of research, he was the chairman, and a member of the Scientific Council for the Protection of theses, more than 30 years he was a member of the Scientific Council at NTUU "KPI", he was a member of the editorial board of the professional journal "Electronics and communication".
