ISZZI of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute functions with the status of an educational institution of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (hereinafter – SSSCIP).
Training of specialists at the Institute is carried out in the following specialties:
122 Computer Science,
125 Cybersecurity,
172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering
according to the relevant educational and professional programs at the first (bachelor's) level, at the second (master's) level and according to the relevant educational and scientific programs at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education.
To support the educational process, the Institute has five special departments (three of which are graduate).
Special Department № 1 is a graduating department and trains specialists in the specialty 125 Cybersecurity.
Special Department № 2 trains specialists in general military science and tactical and special training.
Special Department № 3 is a graduate department and trains specialists in the specialty 172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering.
Special Department № 4 provides training on natural science subjects, educational background, socio-humanitarian, professional and practical training.
Special Department № 5 is a graduating department and trains specialists in the specialty 122 Computer Science.
ISZZI of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has a modern material and technical resources for the organization of quality educational process and scientific and technical activities, which includes an educational complex with modern specialized laboratories and computer classes. In particular, a training situational center on cybersecurity, training laboratories for technical protection of information and a training communication center have been established. In addition, there is a CISCO academy, which provides students with additional opportunities to gain practical experience in configuring and administering network equipment with the receipt of relevant certificates of international standard.
15 Doctors of Sciences and 51 Doctors of Philosophy currently work at ISZZI of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. One employee has the honorary title of "Honoured Education Worker of Ukraine", two employees are the winners of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, 10 employees have been awarded "Excellence in Education of Ukraine".
Postgraduate education is carried out in full time mode of study (daytime and evening-time education).
In order to integrate the educational process of the Institute with the University, the natural science subjects, educational background, socio-humanitarian, professional and practical training are taught by scientific and pedagogical staff of the University.
Admission to ISZZI of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is carried out in accordance with the Annex to the Rules of Admission to the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" for applicants to the Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
ISZZI of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute conducts advanced training on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 27.04.2012 №1485-l (Appendix 1); Information on implementation of educational activities in the field of higher education of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky”; and on the basis of concluded agreements at the expense of legal entities and individuals.
The Institute publishes 2 printed journals, which are included in the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine (category B) by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 02.07.2020 № 886:
Collection "Information Technology and Security", aimed at publishing the main scientific results of thesis and research papers by applicants for scientific degrees and academic titles, as well as applicants for a master's degree;
Collection "Special Telecommunications Systems and Information Protection", aimed at publishing the main scientific results of thesis and scientific papers containing scientific, and scientific and technical information with limited access.
