On 19-21 April 2016 NTUU "KPI" held XXXIV International Scientific Conference "Electronics and nanotechnologies" (ELNANO). The main moderators were NTUU "KPI" (together with other departments of FEL - Department of Physical and Biomedical Electronics, Department of Microelectronics, Department of Industrial Electronics), National Aviation University and Institute of V. Lashkarov Semiconductor Physics of NAS. Since 2013 the conference has been supported by the The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) - the venerable vocational association that brings together more than 400 thousand scientists from 160 countries. The program and organizing committee of the conference included famous scientists - professors V. Zhuikov, F. Yanovskyi, O. Nosych, Klaus-Jurgen Wolter an others. ELNANO Conference was founded in 1980 by a known scientist in the field of electronic circuits theory, professor of KPI Vitaliy Sihorskyi.
Organizing committee chairman, vice-rector of NTUU “KPI”, academician of NAS of Ukraine Y. Yakymenko said in his speech to the participants of ELNANO-2016 that this year's conference brought together renowned researchers and young scientists from Armenia, Belarus, Canada, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, the United States and Ukraine.
Traditionally, the conference was held in plenary sessions and in three sections: "Micro- and Nanoelectronics", "Biomedical Electronics and Signal Processing," "Electronic systems", based on which the collection of works was published in English. The working language of the conference was English too.
Over 150 participants attended work sessions of the conference and three scientific workshops. The seminar on modern micro- and nanotechnology was held on the initiative of prof. Martin Kirchner (Dortmund, Germany). Others were organized by the Department of Computer Equipment Design (head - prof. O. Lysenko) and discussed the problems of the development of modern telecommunications and electronic systems on a crustal. Special section of the X-ray and tomographic systems was headed by prof. S. Miroshnychenko, representing the company for the development of medical technology and information and algorithmic support in diagnostics systems - NPO "Teleoptyk", one of the sponsors of the conference. Conference sponsors also provided support: IEEE Ukraine Section, IEEE Central Ukraine Joint Chapter, IEEE KPI Student Branch.
During the conference the reports on the development of modern nanotechnology, micro- and nanoelectronics components, electronic circuits and systems design methods, the latest developments concerning the processing of signals and images, electronic systems, and prospects for development of biomedical devices and systems, the use of nanotechnology in biomedical electronics were heard. There were fruitful scientific debates to discuss the possibilities of international cooperation and implementation of joint research projects involving a wide range of national and international scientific organisations.
Selection of articles for the collection of scientific works of the conference was held with participation of more than 80 experts from 15 countries (at least three for an article) that meets the requirements of conferences under the auspices of IEEE and means including it the collection of articles to the database of IEEE XPLORE DIGITAL LIBRARY, which is indexed in international scientometric databases SCOPUSE, GOOGLE SCHOOLAR and others.
On 21, April in NTUU "KPI" the 36th International Conference on "Electronics and Nanotechnology (ELNANO-2016)" (Chairman of the Organizing Committee - Member of NAS of Ukraine Yu.I.Yakymenko - academician of Ukrainian NAS Yuri Yakymenko) finished its three-day work.
3 sections of Conference ("Micro and Nanoelectronics", "Biomedical Electronics and Signal Processing" and “Electronic systems") and 3 scientific workshops were attended by over 120 participants from 19 countries. Among them were the guests from the USA, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Turkey, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Armenia and others. It was heard more than 90 reports, which were accompanied by fruitful scientific discussions on actual problems of modern electronics and nanotechnology. In a result of the conference, collection of scientific articles was published that is included to the electronic database of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is indexed in Scopus.
