The process of distance studying in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is constantly improving. The latest update concerns the formation and completion of information in which the results of semester control are marked.
Previously, teachers filled in all the information in paper form and brought it to the deans' offices, where grades were entered manually by employees into the system of the "Dean's Office". Now the process is much simpler: representatives of deans form electronic information in the system "Electronic campus", after which the information is displayed in the module "Session" in the personal offices of those teachers who carry out semester control. After the test or exam, the teacher fills out an e-sheet, saves the data and they are available to employees of the dean's office. Data transfer between the two systems "Electronic Campus" and "Dean's Office" will be automatic. This mechanism not only makes life easier for teachers but also allows not to change the schedule of semester control, even in quarantine.
"This will help to meet the deadlines for tests and exams, which are scheduled," - explains the head of the department of educational work of the department of Student Affairs Tetiana Khyzhnyak.
The updates were successfully tested and applied at the credit session of 3rd year students (shortened study period, admission after technical schools / colleges) and 4th-year students - information on credits, term papers / projects has already been received by the deans' offices. Specialists of the "Electronic Campus" are developing the ability to automatically display the results of exams and tests in the student's personal account - just as there are displayed the results of the current control of disciplines.
The function of electronic filling of information is planned to be used not only during the distance learning period, but also in the future."This is not a temporary measure, but a promising direction of development," comments Tetiana Khyzhnyak.
