MAIN TASKS OF THE CENTER

Development of the educational and scientific potential of the university's scientific schools in the field of rehabilitation engineering, rehabilitation and occupational therapy of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

FUNCTIONS OF THE CENTER

  • Organizes and carries out theoretical training and practical training of advanced training students in rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy;
  • Provides advanced training for specialists, including researchers and academic staff, in rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy;
  • Carries out research and innovation activities in the field of rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy;
  • Promotes the introduction of innovative developments in the field of rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy into clinical practice;
  • Cooperates with grantors and investors to improve the efficiency of the processes of development, manufacturing of prostheses, practical training of students in rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy;
  • Participates in cooperation with domestic and foreign partners in the field of rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy;
  • Prepares textbooks, methodological, scientific and other literature on the center's profile;
  • Conducts separate master classes and trainings with the involvement of national and international experts;
  • Organizes conferences, seminars and competitions on rehabilitation engineering (prosthetics, orthotics, etc.), rehabilitation and occupational therapy;
  • Promotes prosthetics and rehabilitation of patients in need of prosthetics and rehabilitation;
  • Organizes events to provide training for students and advanced training of prosthetists and rehabilitation specialists;
  • Provides recommendations for the formation of a barrier-free environment for participants in the educational process after prosthetics.
