P. 12–18.
Fig. 5. Tabl. 2. Refs.: 9 titles.
Based on the theory of fuzzy sets, we elaborate the mathematical model for an integrated estimating of the technical condition as well as for determining the failure probability of various types of high-voltage switches. We also parametrically identify the fuzzy model by utilizing real selections of the technical condition parameters of high-voltage air switches. Finally, we demonstrate that these fuzzy estimation models of switches’ technical condition can be applied in the expert estimating systems of risk decrease of consumer power supply reliability.

Еnergy Efficiency of the Combined Heat Pump System of Low-Temperature Water Heating and Ventilation
P. 19–25.
Fig. 5. Refs.: 10 titles.
The paper deals with the basic scheme of the combined heat pump system of low-temperature water heating – “floor panel heating system” and ventilation. We present the results of еnergy efficiency analysis of this system both taking into account and disregarding the energy expenses for air transportation through the heat pump evaporator. We show that the energy efficiency of the combined heat pump heating system and ventilation is higher than the efficiency of the corresponding heating system (without ventilation) with the ratio of heat flows for heating and ventilation m > 1, and it grows with the increasing m value.

We prove that the classification problem with precision up to a similarity transformation of the pair of nilpotent operators (A,B),A2=B3=0, correlated by relations (AB)2 = 0, AB=qBA, q≠0, is “wild”, notably contains the classification problem of a pair of arbitrary operators without relations.

Synthesis of Structure and Properties of the Finite-Element Models of the Airframe
P. 62–68.
Fig. 6. Refs.: 7 titles.
We consider the theoretical issues of formalizing the design of a complex technical facility. Furthermore, we illustrate that there is always the ultimate decomposition level for the finite-element model, and below this level the decomposition is impossible. It enables devising the automatic synthesis algorithm. Finally, we provide the example of the automatic synthesis algorithm of the finite-element model which dramatically decreases the designing process.

The Design of Coordinating Control Algorithm for the Thermal Mixing Aggregate Under External Disturbances
P. 84–89.
Fig. 3. Refs.: 8 titles.
The present paper proposes the control algorithm for the thermal mixing aggregate to stabilize a water level and temperature under non-stationary external disturbance (water consuming). We show that an additional coordinating control loop for outputs’ ratio should be utilized to increase the control quality. The specific control laws for basic and coordinating regulators are proposed. Furthermore, numerical modeling is presented to ensure effectiveness of the present algorithm.

The Specificity of the Production Technology and Mechanical Precision Polishing of Effective Bearing Materials Based on Tool High-Speed Steels Wastes
P. 97–108.
Fig. 5. Tabl. 5. Refs.: 12 titles.
In this paper, we highlight the results of developing the resource-saving production technology as well as the fine mechanical finishing of effective bearing materials based on tool high-speed steels Р6М5, Р6М5К5, Р6М5Ф3 abrasive wastes with CaF2 solid lubricant. We also illustrate the influence of production technology on the structure formation and properties of new bearing materials for heavy operation conditions. Finally, we show that mechanical precision polishing ensures high parameters of bearing surface quality that favours formation of secondary structure films which causes the high functional properties of materials.

Phase Composition, Structure and Mechanical Properties of АМг6л Alloy with Admixtures of Iron and Beryllium
P. 109–112.
Fig. 3. Tabl. 4. Refs.: 5 titles.
The paper studies the influence of admixtures of iron and beryllium on the phase composition, structure and mechanical properties of АМг6л alloy after casting. We determine the optimum content of iron and beryllium, which provides the maximal level of mechanical properties of the alloy under study: Fe = 0,5 %, Be = 0,25 %. We also define the optimum correlation of iron and beryllium in an alloy: Be/Fe » 0,4–0,5 that conform to requirements of the state standard.

P. 118–123.
Fig. 3. Tabl. 1. Refs.: 12 titles.
This study reveals the results of comprehensive treatment of 12X18H10T steel. We demonstrate the possibility of combining nitrating steel in the ammonia medium at a temperature 540 °С for 20 hours followed by titanium alumunizing relying on the powder method in containers with the consumable gate under the reduced pressure at a temperature 1050 °С for 0,5–6 hours. In addition, we examine the structure, phase and chemical composition of the obtained coatings. Finally, we describe the influence of nitrating on formation of the surface barrier layer of titanium nitride TiN. We obtain the promising coatings that can be applied under the conditions of friction, wear, high temperatures and aggressive environments.

A Novel Optical Distal Instrument for Minimally Invasive Clinical Medicine
P. 124–128.
Fig. 4. Refs.: 10 titles.
The paper proposes two models of the novel midget optical distal instrument (ODI) for clinical use. These ODIs can function with standard endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment through their instrumental channels. Contact Taper-M ODI eliminates the optical radiation leakage through its side nonfunctional surfaces to minimize the radiation injury of sound tissues adjacent to the operation zone. Noncontact ODI SteadyBeam forms a quasi collimated laser beam with a minimal angular divergence to achieve a distant power density sufficient for clinical use that exceeds delivery fiber diameter by more than 15–50 times. Specifically, the proposed ODI’s models can be used as operating instruments for laser surgery, thermotherapy, lithotripsy and recanalization.

P. 140–153.
Fig. 4. Tabl. 3. Refs.: 24 titles.
The paper considers the European approaches to assessment of the buildings’ energy efficiency. We scrutinize their advantages and disadvantages. Specifically, we investigate the feasibility of one of the approaches by employing the example of NTUU "KPI" educational buildings and define principal obstacles that hinder the utilization and can also lead to misinterpretation of the results obtained. We propose possible ways of specification of existing methods and attempt to adapt them to the Ukrainian context.
