⚙️ During the visit of the delegation from the international organization PCM & MAT Kosovo (Republic of Malta), the parties discussed the prospect of establishing an International Training Center for Mine Action and Humanitarian Demining at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The center is expected to train specialists in the detection and disposal of explosive hazards, as well as in risk management in war-affected areas.
✍️ The cooperation will include academic programs for students and specialized training courses for representatives of organizations involved in coordinating mine action activities.
📜 The delegation learned about the university’s educational and research achievements in this field. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute already trains future specialists through the Educational and Research Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management (IEE), while the practical and research components are strengthened by the Educational and Research Center for Innovative Technologies in Humanitarian Demining. The university also cooperates with government institutions, professional associations, and international partners to advance expertise in humanitarian demining in Ukraine.
