The trade union committee of Igor Sikorsky KPI traditionally paid considerable attention to health improvement during the summer period. Therefore, trade union members and their children were given the opportunity to spend their summer holidays in picturesque corners of Western Ukraine and Poland free of charge or on preferential terms.

During the summer, 38 university employees and their family members took advantage of the opportunity for health improvement in accordance with the regulations on sanatorium and resort treatment and the procedure for organizing summer health improvement for union members, and rested in health resorts in Ukraine. Employees mainly chose sanatoriums and medical and health complexes in the western regions of Ukraine, where treatment can be combined with relaxation in ecologically clean regions. A significant number of employees chose the Moldova sanatorium in Truskavets, Lviv region, and the Chervona Kalyna sanatorium in Zobryn, Rivne region.

With the assistance of the Kyiv City Organization of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine, 46 children of employees were provided with health improvement services at the expense of the Kyiv city budget. The children spent 21 days at the Karpatski Zori (Carpathian Dawn) children's health resort in Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and the Verkhovyna children's health resort in Verkhovyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The clean mountain air, medical procedures, and active recreation helped strengthen the children's health before the new school year.

Thanks to friendly relations with trade union colleagues from the Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska), for the second year in a row, a joint vacation was organized for the children of employees of the Igor Sikorsky KPI in Grybów (Poland). The children enjoyed the original T-shirts, horse riding, grilled sausages, guitar evenings, the swimming pool, and other activities. A special moment was the trip to the picturesque town of Zakopane, where the Beskids meet the Tatras, and where rest and relaxation reign supreme. Such trips not only allow children to relax, but also promote cultural exchange, broaden their horizons, and strengthen friendships.

"This year's summer health camp was organized through the joint efforts of the children's and health commissions of the trade union committee. Organizing summer recreation and health improvement for employees and their children is one of the priorities of the university's trade union committee,“ said Yuriy Veremychuk, chairman of the trade union committee. ”We are grateful to our partners for supporting these important initiatives and are ready to contribute and join in the restoration of summer health improvement in 2026 at the university's facilities."
