The first meeting of the renewed Supervisory Board of Igor Sikorsky KPI was recently held, dedicated to the development and peculiarities of the university's functioning during the period of martial law.
📌 Currently, Igor Sikorsky KPI has a unique supervisory body: it includes university graduates and experts in business, science, public policy, and the public sector. This allows for a combination of different approaches and perspectives in strategic decision-making.
The first meeting was moderated by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Igor Sikorsky KPI, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Kornienko:
"Education and the university face many challenges today, at a time of full-scale war and a prolonged period of online learning. We, as the Supervisory Board and as graduates, are joining in and working systematically to solve them. We have been engaged in difficult discussions with the management for some time now regarding increasing the prestige and interest in engineering education. We will defend the positions of KPI at all levels and consolidate our efforts," said Oleksandr Kornienko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Igor Sikorsky KPI, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

• the rector's report on the development strategy and features of KPI's functioning for the current year;
• internal and external challenges facing the university;
• the Supervisory Board's work plan for the near future;
• increasing the number of applicants, promoting engineering and natural sciences among applicants;
• adapting education to the realities of today: new educational programs, modern material and technical base, campus security;
• restoration of university infrastructure damaged by enemy attacks;
• holding open meetings between members of the Supervisory Board and students.
