We make Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute better!

Recently, at the meeting of the Academic Council, the reports of the vice-rectors began. The first report was presented by the Vice-Rector for Administrative and Financial Work of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Serhiy Manziuk.

The most important provisions in the report for the last year with an emphasis on the short period from August to December 2024 in the context of the Kyiv Polytechnic Development Strategy for 2025-2030 are published in this news.

External independent management audit has started

In accordance with the decision of the commission established by the rector, an agreement was signed with the international audit company RSM (one of the leading companies in the domestic market). This audit will be paid for by a charitable contribution from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association. The State Audit Service of Ukraine will be involved in the audit of financial processes.

Laboratories upgrade

A new stage of cooperation with Ajax Systems: cooperation is underway to upgrade laboratory equipment for a significant amount at the Faculty of Radio Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, Faculty of Instrumentation and the Educational and Research Institute of Telecommunication Systems.

Financial stability and transparency

Salaries are paid in full.

A system of coefficients is being developed for fair and transparent distribution of salaries of administrative, teaching and support, and economic staff, which will take into account competencies, achievements, level of responsibility, corruption risks, etc.

The university transferred UAH 670.7 million in taxes and fees to the state and local budgets.

This is a significant support for the university:

charitable assistance (property and funds) - more than UAH 3.8 million

charitable assistance (repairs) - over UAH 3.2 million;

property transferred to the university for temporary use - over UAH 31 million.

Improving the public procurement procedure by introducing three authorized persons for key procurement areas instead of one, which will reduce bureaucracy.

Optimization of financial processes and reduction of bureaucracy as a result of the continued implementation of the MASTER:Accounting system.

Leasing business

The Group received UAH 900 thousand more from rent compared to the previous year. This became possible after checking tenants and identifying overdue contracts, debts, illegal alterations, etc.

The number of tenants from big business is increasing at the university (for example, 12 Nova Poshta post offices have appeared in the dormitories).

A monetary revaluation of a number of buildings was carried out, which significantly increased their value, which has a significant impact on the cost of rent.

Work is underway to attract food chain tenants.

Increasing the level of energy independence of the university

In particular, the university received charging stations and materials from Credit Agricole Bank (components for charging stations worth UAH 180,000), PrivatBank (charitable contribution of UAH 200,000), SensBank, etc.

Infrastructure development

An agreement has been reached with Kyivstar to increase the 4G speed on the university's territory to 500-600 Mbps this summer.

The university hotel, which had been mothballed in recent years, was restored in a short time, which led to its destruction both inside and outside.

We are planning to renovate the recreation center of the Globus student mountain sports camp in Ivano-Frankivsk region with the support and assistance of university students.

Protective structures

Despite the creation of 550 new places in shelters, the Rector has developed and approved a plan to increase the fund of protective structures, which provides for the additional creation of shelters for more than 2500 places in buildings and 700 places in dormitories.
