Representatives of Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the world's most powerful and widespread cloud providers, government officials, leading entrepreneurs and businesses visited Kyiv Polytechnic to discuss joint actions to develop cloud technologies, digital transformation and innovation at the university.
The delegation from Amazon Web Services, led by Liam Maxwell, Director of Public Sector Digital Transformation at AWS, visited Ukraine for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion.
‘I am very grateful to Amazon, in particular to Liam and Peter, for coming and visiting Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. This visit is very important and significant. It proves that the world's largest technology companies are interested in cooperation with the best technical higher education institution in Ukraine,’ said Oleksandr Marikovskyi, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Regional Economic Cooperation and Trade of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development.
Secure cloud services and technologies, access to platforms for students and teachers with a focus on artificial intelligence trends are what KPI and AWS representatives will work on.
Also, thanks to the support of AWS, KPI students and teachers will be able to work on their own projects without interruption, despite the challenges associated with the war
