Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with young scientists and representatives of the Minor Academy of Sciences at Kyiv Polytechnic.
The Head of State congratulated the scientists on Science Day, thanked them for helping Ukraine fight Russian aggression and awarded them with state awards.
"It is a reward that we have you, that Ukraine has science and scientists. I would like to wish you victories in your research and Ukraine's victory over the enemy. You make a great contribution with your daily work and the introduction of technological progress, because the war is hybrid. Each of your help, each of your discoveries is an approach to the victorious end of the war," Zelensky said.
Among the awardees is Yulia Maksymiuk, a KPI student and president of the Student Parliament NGO, who, together with other students, graduate students and teachers of Kyiv Polytechnic, is working on making drones and electric stretchers.
The President of Ukraine also awarded young scientists from the Minor Academy of Sciences - student of the Faculty of Radio Engineering Angelina Drehmova and student of the Institute of Physics and Technology Danylo Dorosh, who won prizes at the international festival I-FEST² 2024.
The Head of State examined the presentations of the works of young scientists and winners of the International Festival of Engineering, Science and Technology I-FEST, which took place this year in March in Tunisia. Representatives of the Junior Academy of Sciences won 21 awards in eight categories.
The President noted that some of the developments of young scientists have already been successfully used by Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield and emphasized that the state is interested in them and will support scientists.
