Dear Kyiv Polytechnics! The Day of Unity of Ukraine is a holiday celebrated annually on January 22, the day of the proclamation of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic, which took place in 1919. This Act consolidated the independence of the Ukrainian People's Republic, a Free Sovereign State of the Ukrainian People, independent of anyone. And no other state has the right to interfere in its internal life.
For every Ukrainian, Unity is not an abstract concept, but a cherished goal that they must protect and defend at every stage of the state's historical existence. Unity is the spiritual unity of Ukrainian lands from the east to the west of the country, from the north to the south.
A united sovereign Ukraine includes twenty-five regions, about thirty thousand settlements, and more than one hundred and thirty nationalities and ethnicities.
Today, Ukrainian soldiers are giving their lives for this highest value, for the spiritual unity and freedom of our people. Each of us is doing everything in our power to ensure that our unity is a fundamental principle for us as a society and a state. We will continue to fight because every day we remember how much our freedom means.
Happy Unity Day of Ukraine, dear Kyiv Polytechnics! Let's honor our traditions, remember our history and work on - with faith in our Victory!
