On April 20, 2023, the Department of Business Management of the Faculty of Management and Marketing held the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Business, Innovation, Management: Problems and Prospects", which this year was dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the founding of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The conference has more than a decade of history and has become a familiar platform for scientists and practitioners to exchange best practices and achievements in the field of theoretical and applied principles of business and management development, as well as an important component in the formation of modern specialists. Despite the war, this year's conference brought together more than 130 participants from Ukraine, as well as Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Canada, and Turkey. The main goal of the event was to discuss urgent issues related to effective management of enterprises in a rapidly changing crisis environment, search for innovative strategies and business models aimed at restoring and improving the business situation.
The plenary part of the conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Marketing Maryna Kravchenko and the Head of the Department of Business Management Victoria Dergachova, who noted the significant contribution of educators, scientists and future specialists to the approaching Victory and the future revival of Ukraine, as well as the importance of their role in determining ways to overcome the consequences of the crisis, rebuilding and further economic development of the state.
The conference featured 27 presentations by scholars from domestic and foreign higher education institutions, as well as employees of enterprises and organizations: Wroclaw University of Technology, Kyiv University of Intellectual Property and Law, National University "Odesa Law Academy", National Technical University "KhPI", National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic", PJSC "NMKZ", National Aviation University, National Institute for Strategic Studies, National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", etc.
In addition to the plenary session, the conference participants took part in workshops in four thematic areas: "Business and Management Development Trends", "International Business Management in Globalization", "Innovation and Entrepreneurship as the Basis for Economic Growth", and "Supply Chain Management in the Enterprise Development Strategy".
The conference discussed a wide range of topics related to the effective management of enterprises in an environment of instability and unpredictability. Experts noted that the success of an enterprise depends on its ability to quickly and effectively adapt to new business conditions. One of the key topics was the need to develop flexible strategies that will allow companies to develop and strengthen their market positions, as well as to use resources efficiently and optimize business processes. In addition, the participants discussed how to reduce business risks, which, in an unstable environment, require a quick response to any problems that may arise in the course of work.
The speakers paid considerable attention to the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on business transformation processes and the prospects for their application in the activities of enterprises. Speakers noted that the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into business can help reduce operating costs, speed up decision-making, and improve the accuracy of product demand forecasting and inventory management. Moreover, the use of digital technologies helps companies collect and analyze large amounts of data faster and more efficiently, which allows them to more accurately identify customer needs and understand their impact on the business, and increase the effectiveness of marketing activities. The use of smart warehouse management systems enables companies to more accurately control inventory and prevent losses, and the use of electronic document management systems enables them to more efficiently process and store important information.
We hope that the results of the conference will encourage the search for solutions and new ideas, and will become the basis for further research and development in the field of domestic management, business and innovation.
Today, when the world is going through unprecedented challenges, many businesses are facing problems in all areas of their operations. But it should be remembered that even in the most difficult times, you need to continue to develop, explore new ideas and ways to solve problems.
