At the XI Sikorsky Challenge Festival, the Armagel+ Universal Hydrogel Dressing project won in the Practical Readiness for Mass Production category.
The team presented a universal carrier matrix that can be saturated with medicinal solutions, herbs, oil emulsions, etc.
"The bandage can be used in primary health care and has the appropriate qualities for this. It contains a very powerful biocide that prevents the wound from festering until the fighter gets to the second or third line for further medical care. The use of our bandages accelerates wound healing by 1.5-2 times," said project manager Volodymyr Tavokin.
The developers actively cooperate with many departments of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The characteristics of the product have been significantly improved and the performance of world analogs has been achieved.
