Dear Kyiv Polytechnics! I sincerely congratulate you on the World Science Day for Peace and Development!
This day has been celebrated at the initiative of UNESCO since 2001 to emphasize the importance of science in promoting peace and sustainable development.
It promotes recognition of the contribution of science to solving global problems and encourages interest in scientific research.
For Ukraine, which is defending itself against external aggression, this Day can contribute to peace through the following aspects:
Technological progress: Scientific achievements should improve the country's technological potential, including defense and security systems;
International cooperation: Ukraine's scientific community, united within the framework of World Science Day, can promote cooperation between countries by jointly seeking scientific solutions to increase international assistance to Ukraine;
Education and understanding: Promotion of scientific knowledge can contribute to education and greater understanding among the population of Ukraine, which in turn will strengthen the consolidation of the nation to accelerate the Victory;
Development of a sustainable economy: Science should be the engine of Ukraine's high-tech economy, which in turn will contribute to the development of the country's military-technical complex and will be a key factor in accelerating the Victory;
Cultural exchange: Scientific cooperation can also expand cultural exchange and understanding between friendly countries, which will help strengthen international relations and increase assistance to Ukraine.
Thus, this day recognizes science and education as effective tools for solving the most difficult problems and contradictions between countries and nations and contributes to global peace. May it help us to accelerate our long-awaited Victory!
Glory to Ukraine!
