☑️ Admission-2023
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute received the highest recommendation for admission to the master's program among other universities. On August 24, the results of the targeted placement of the state order for applicants for master's degree were published. 1801 students were recommended, 1768 of them for full-time education.
There are 1620 students enrolled in the bachelor's program. Of these, 1410 are full-time students. This is 24% more than last year.
Postgraduate entrance exams have started today. Additional exams are also being held for applicants who are not applying for a specialty. About 380 applications have already been registered.
Four people have been admitted to the doctoral program on a state-funded basis and two on a contract basis.
From September 1 to 7, an additional enrollment of students for contractual bachelor's studies will take place.
As of now, 1620 contract students have been officially enrolled for bachelor's degree, including 1410 full-time students.
On September 1, the Freshman Day will be held in a mixed format. At the celebration, applicants will be given student cards.
☑️ Educational process
Starting today, a commission will start working to check the readiness of departments for the educational process. They will check the readiness of classrooms and methodological support.
All educational subdivisions of KPI have published the final class schedules on their information resources.
Preparations for the session of the faculty are underway. It will be held in a mixed format.
A new accreditation schedule has been approved. It is planned to accredit 74 educational programs in the next academic year.
☑️ Scientific activity
Kyiv Polytechnic took part in a program to develop science and innovation with the support of the University of Sheffield. The best startups of polytechnics were presented to British investors.
KPI is expanding cooperation with the State Special Transport Service in the field of UAVs and radio communication protection.
☑️ International activities
Kyiv Polytechnic strengthens ties with the Embassy of Pakistan and the Embassy of Poland to attract foreign students.
KPI actively participates in competitions of NATO's Science for Peace and Security program.
☑️ Events dedicated to the 125th anniversary of KPI
KPI Library presented a new electronic edition to the 125th anniversary of KPI "Rare and valuable editions of the Scientific and Technical Library named after H.I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
☑️ Campus improvement
The campus shelters have been successfully inspected and certified by the State Emergency Service. The total number of places in the shelters for the new academic year will be about 6000.
A new shelter is being arranged in the 4th dormitory.
Work is underway to set up indestructibility points on the campus that will operate in the event of possible blackouts.
Last week, several art objects were opened on the campus: Aviation Square, a sculptural composition
KPI Aviators and the sculpture "Yunist".
Today, students have started to settle in their dormitories.
