On September 27, 2022, the rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Michael Zgurovsky visited the Warsaw University of Technology at the invitation of the Academic Senate and the Rector Krzysztof Zaremba. There were constructive talks on the expansion of cooperation in modern educational, scientific and innovative directions.
The rectors analysed the state of implementation of the agreement on cooperation between friendly universities, which was signed in 2006, and agreed to update and expand it significantly.
They discussed the participation of students, teachers and scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the work of the international alliance ENHANCE and, in particular, in one of its projects Language Tandem. On the part of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, this project is being implemented with the participation of the Faculty of Linguistics and the International Project Office of the International Collaboration Department. Students, graduate students and employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will be able not only to meet representatives of different countries — members of the alliance - and learn a foreign language, but also to help foreigners learn Ukrainian. German, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish and Ukrainian languages are studied and taught within the project.
During the negotiations, modern forms of mobility of students, teachers and scientists within the framework of the Erasmus+ program were discussed. Rector Krzysztof Zaremba gratefully accepted the invitation from Michael Zgurowsky for the participation of representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology in the TechnoArt International festival under the slogan "Regeneration. Reconstruction. Renaissance", and in the 11th Festival of Innovative Projects Sikorsky Challenge. Mr. Zaremba noted that that would be a good opportunity to expand cooperation at the level of academic staff and student/postgraduate youth of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Warsaw University of Technology.
