Before the International Chess Day, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute trade union organised two chess tournaments for everyone: face-to-face and online.
"We had many plans for this day, but because of the war, not everything could be realised. However, we believe that the enemy will be knocked out of Ukraine and we will turn all our plans into reality," the trade union committee notes.
8 chess players took part in the face-to-face tournament:
🥇 1st place — Yevgen Slipchuk (FMF);
🥈 2nd place — Vasyl Khrapko (FIOT);
🥉 3rd place — Ivan Golubov (FIOT).
35 participants played in the online tournament: graduates, students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and other higher education institutions, entrants:
🏆 Prize "For the will to win" - Anton Yukhymenko (FEL);
🥇 1st place — Stanislav Nepochatykh (graduate of FPM);
🥈 2nd place — Ivan Omelchenko (FPM);
🥉 3rd place — Artem Tytianiuk (prospective student of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute).
