The International Physicists' Tournament was held in Colombia. A team of girls, including a student of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Yana Kalisetska, replaced the team of boys who could not take part in the competition because of the war.
The training lasted only a month and a half, online, without access to laboratories.
In such a short time, the girls did a job that usually takes 6-8 months.
Students were trained for the competition by Ksenia Minakova, associate professor of physics at NTU "KhPI", and Anastasia Gayeva, a graduate of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, winner of the Physicists' Tournament in 2011. Also, a significant contribution to the organization and coordination of training was made by Oleksiy Golubov, a graduate of the Department of Physics and Technology of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
