Round Table "Nuclear Energy: History, Present, and Future"

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted a round table on nuclear energy. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute scientists, liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster, representatives of the Swedish International Charitable Organization, and specialists involved in constructing the New Safe Confinement. 

Experts discussed issues of global nuclear safety, challenges, and risks facing nuclear energy. 

During the event, a monument to Hero of Ukraine, hero-liquidator of the Chernobyl disaster, and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute graduate Oleksandr Lelechenko, who gave his life for the sake of humanity, was officially opened.
