At the beginning of August, the university administration welcomed a team of mathematics students who successfully performed at the International Student Competition.
The XXVII International Mathematics Competition for University Students (IMC) took place on July 25-30, 2020. This is a competition for students who have completed the first - fourth year of university education. They are asked to solve tasks in various sections of algebra, matanalysis, geometry and combinatorics. Working language - English.
Kyiv Polytechnics are regular participants of the IMC: there were loud victories (Grand Prix several years in a row), and successful performances. Team leader Anton Syrotenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory, informed: "The Competition took place on two days. Each day 4 tasks of different level of complexity were offered. 4 hours were given to solve them. After that, the work was encrypted and sent to team leaders for verification. Each team leader participated in the verification of only one task. Our students performed well at the Competition and showed high results."
