As our newspaper has already written, on 11-15 November 2019, at the behest of the Polish Perspektywy Educational Foundation, a delegation of 100 students, graduate students and young female scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took part in the International Conference “Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2019.” Among its participants was the Scientific Secretary of the Scientific and Technical Library Svitlana Barabash. Apart from participating in the events of this large-scale women’s scientific forum, she visited the libraries of the two largest Warsaw universities. We would like to bring her impressions to the attention of readers.

Beyond the conference program, my colleagues from the university and I had a great opportunity to visit the two leading university libraries in Warsaw – the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and the University of Warsaw (WU). Visits to these libraries were organized by Henrik Hollander, our longtime partner and ex-director of the WU library. Some impressions of the observed unique architectural designs of these libraries are worth sharing. Therefore, I suggest a certain historical journey and my own visual reflection from the convenient and functional rooms of these structural units of well-known Polish universities, with which Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has a master partnership.
