Dear veterans and current defenders of the Fatherland! Dear Polytechnics! Today, we proudly honour the older generation who had to go through the deadly fires of World War II. We are rightly proud of the victorious contribution of our ancestors to the common victory over Nazism of the Anti-Hitler Coalition.
The human dimension of the victory prize is the millions of lives of our compatriots who did not return from fronts, concentration camps, forced labour, were shot and tortured, died prematurely from wounds, famine and repression in the postwar years.
163 students, teachers and employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute gave their lives for the May 45th Victory.
We honour the eternal and bright memory of the fallen.
We bow pre-earthly and express heartfelt gratitude to all veterans-polytechnics of the older generation for the feat for the free and happy life of their descendants.
In their unrestrained progress towards the dreamed freedom and independence, our people are now again forced to defend their fateful choice with arms.
Sacrifice and faith in the victory of our compatriots have no bounds. There is no doubt that victory will be ours because our truth and our land are behind us! History shows that our people are invincible!
Dear Polytechnics, I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Day of Victory over Nazism in the Second World War!
Glory to the defenders of Ukraine at different times! Glory to Ukraine!
With gratitude and respect,
