On 22 January, signed the Protocol on cooperation between the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Canakkale University Onsekiz Mart (Turkey), as well as between the Science Parks of both universities.
The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by a delegation of the Canakkale University Onsekiz Mart from the Republic of Turkey. The delegation included University rector Eugene Acer, Chanakkale Technopark President Erkan Biel, business representatives and others.
Canakkale University Onsekiz Mart is a Turkish state-owned research university located in Canakkale province and surrounding cities. Ranked among the 1000 best universities in the world in the 2012 annual Scimago Institutions Rankings. In 2013, it was recognized as one of the best innovative universities in Turkey. The number of university students in 2013 exceeded 37.5 thousand.
From the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute met with Vice-Rector for International Relations Corresponding Member of NAS of Ukraine Serhiy Sidorenko, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations Kseniya Yudkova, Deputy Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Igor Litvinov, Director General of Science Park "Kyiv Polytechnic" Volodymyr Hnat, representatives of Mechanics - Mechanical Engineering Institute and several faculties.
After discussing the issues of cooperation, the parties signed a Protocol of Cooperation between Canakkale University Onsekiz Mart of (Turkey) and “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, as well as between the Science Parks of both universities.
The Protocol stipulates, in particular, that cooperation may include joint research and pilot projects, exchange of teaching staff, exchange of students, internships, joint seminars, conferences, joint scientific publications and more
