On May, 15 the XVII International Scientific and Technical Conference "Instrumentation: State and Prospects" started at Igor Sikorsky KPI. In the framework of this scientific forum the XI Scientific and Practical Conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "A Glance to the Future of Instrumentation" began as well.
The general purpose of the conferences is to create opportunities for fruitful communication of representatives of the scientific and industrial community in the field of modern instrumentation, precision technology, intellectualization of production.
The conference is attended by 301 representatives of industrial enterprises, academic, industry research institutions, higher educational institutions from 20 cities of Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, the Republic of Belarus, Poland, France, Venezuela, Iraq and others.
Participants of the conference were able to get acquainted with the collection of abstracts published before, which contains 193 works on the results of scientific and practical research on pressing problems of mechanical engineering.
The conference began with the greetings of Academician AINU, dean of the instrument-making faculty of Igor Sikorsky KPI, Professor Hryhoriy Tymchyk.
During the first half of the day a plenary session of the conference was held at which the following reports were heard: "Methods and means of fuel quality control" (V.P Babak, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Technical Thermophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine); «The Effect of Uv Nd: Yag Laser Radiation on Optical and Electrical Properties of ZnO Crystal» (Arturs Medvid, Head of the Laboratory of Semiconductor Physics, Institute of Technical Physics, Riga Technical University, Latvia); "Ceramic Materials with Superconducting, Electroconducting and High Microwave Absorbtion Characteristics for Special Applications" (T.O.Prikhna, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Department of V. Bakul Institute of Superfine Materials of NAS of Ukraine); "New provisions of the draft rules for determining the volume of natural gas" (V.O. Osiyevsky, chief metrologist of the department of the gas balance sheet, dispatching, metrology and gas accounting of the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine, Kyiv); "Directions of activity and development" NIK-Electronics” (V.V. Bondarchuk, Head of KB LLC "NIK-Electronics", Vyshhrod, Ukraine).
Subsequently the XVII International Scientific and Technical Conference "Instrumentation: Status and Prospects" will work in the following sections: "Computer-integrated technologies and systems of navigation and control", "Optical and optoelectronic devices and systems.
