December, 10, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was visited by a delegation from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Laboratory and Golden Egg Science and Technology Company (People's Republic of China). The delegation included Vice President of Zhejiang University, Director of Zhejiang Laboratory, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Zhou Shitsyang (Head), Head of Golden Egg Science and Technology, Lee Lumin, as well as heads of several Zhejiang Laboratory Units and regional representatives of Golden Egg Science and Technology.

After an excursion, during which the guests visited the campus and visited the State Polytechnic Museum of Ukraine at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, representatives of the University met with them. Participation in the meeting was taken by the rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, academician of NAS of Ukraine Michael Zgurovskyi, vice-rector for long-term development Oleksiy Novikov, director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education Inna Malyukova, deputy pro-rector for scientific work Igor Litvinov, director of the Mechanical Engineering Institute, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Bobyr , head of the department of foreign economic activity of the Department of International Cooperation Andriy Shysholin, departmental staff and others.

Meetings began with the exchange of information about universities and their scientific activities. In addition, Zhou Shitsyang spoke about the Zhejiang laboratory created last year at the Zhejiang University and the main directions of its activities. This is a powerful state research structure which main focus is research in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as computer networks. Today it employs 500 researchers, but it is planned that by 2028 their number will grow to 20 thousand. The laboratory conducts research, the results of which are subsequently implemented in practice, so it closely cooperates not only with the university but also with large technology companies. For their part, representatives of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute presented a presentation of the university's academic schools working in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. So the participants discussed issues of cooperation between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Laboratory in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as opportunities for the development of exchanges for students studying in the respective fields, teachers and researchers. An agreement was reached on the development of a joint platform for the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Zhejiang University in the field of artificial intelligence. The second direction of cooperation may be academic exchanges. The third is the establishment of a joint project competition in the field of artificial intelligence. The directions and terms of cooperation should be defined in a separate joint document.

Finally, the rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Michael Zgurovskyi and head of the company Golden Egg Science and Technology, Lee Lumin signed an agreement on cooperation. It envisages the development of cooperation between the University and the company, whose strategic goal is to develop joint educational and innovative activities, as well as to promote the development of human potential of both countries. The parties agreed to establish a joint Ukrainian-Chinese Center for Engineering Innovations, which will function as two related parts – the Ukrainian (based on the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with the possibility of engagement of the Science Park “Kyivska Polytechnica” and the Innovative Ecosystem “Sikorsky Challenge” and Chinese (based on the Chinese-Ukrainian artificial technology center in the company's structure). The activities of both sides of the Center will be to search, select, analyze, adapt and accompany innovative projects that can be further incubated and commercialized. At the same time, their patents will be secured in Ukraine and China, and all conditions necessary for the protection of intellectual property of members of Ukrainian and Chinese project teams will be fulfilled. A separate section of the document is devoted to educational activities. In particular, this includes the use of the Sikorsky Challenge Startup School for the training of project teams, support by the Startup School Company on the basis of individual agreements, the support of the company for the annual Sikorsky Challenge startup contests and the participation of its representatives in the work of expert groups and the jury of the competition and so on. In addition, the dealers agreed to establish a joint start-up project competition, which will combine the possibilities of existing competitions, the participants and organizers of which are the university and the company.
