On October 10 Igor Sikorsky KPI was visited by a delegation from the University of Le Man (The French Republic) headed by its President Rashid El Gurom. It also consisted of Vice-Rector for International Relations Elian Elmalekh and the person responsible for the development of international relations of the Faculty of Science and Technology Nirina Randrianantoandro.
The guests met the first vice-rector of Igor Sikorsky KPI Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Petro Kyrychok, Head of International Projects Department of the Department of International Cooperation of the University Serhiy Shukaiev, coordinator of the Ukrainian-French projects of the University Olha Ohurtsova, Director of the Ukrainian-French Center of Igor Sikorsky KPI Olha Dorosh, coordinator of cooperation with foreign partners at PBF Volodymyr Borovytsky, coordinator of cooperation with foreign partners at KhTF Tatiana Duda and others.
Igor Sikorsky KPI has been cooperating with the University of Le Man for a long time. Moreover, for almost ten years there has been an agreement between universities on the program of double diploma, which involves seven faculties of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. So the participants of the meeting discussed the issues of expanding of cooperation. At the same time, emphasis was made on organizing academic exchanges under the European Union's academic mobility program Erasmus + and internal French programs. Opportunities to involve not only postgraduate students, but also PhD students, as well as lecturers and, of course, researchers who could jointly implement innovative projects, were also discussed. Agreement was reached on all these issues.
In addition, representatives of the University of Le Man discussed with the staff of the instrumental and chemical-technological faculties some specific areas of cooperation, and also visited the campus of the university and the exposition of the State Polytechnic Museum of Ukraine at Igor Sikorsky KPI.
