Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Quanzhou University of Information Technology (People's Republic of China) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on October, 2.
Quanzhou University of Information Technology is located in the center of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. This is a young educational institution founded in 2002. Several colleges have been opened at the university: electronics and telecommunications, mechanical and electrical engineering, programming, design, economics and management, construction, as well as the General Education Center. The University is one of the leaders in Chinese technical education, especially in the field of information and communication technologies and innovations, which is confirmed by the “Award for Learning in China” of the second degree.
The ceremony for signing the Memorandum was preceded by a discussion of the forms of cooperation, which was attended by members of the delegation of the Quanzhou University of Information Technology, headed by its President, Guo Xiaoping. On the Ukrainian party were the first vice-rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yuriy Yakymenko, dean of the Faculty of Electronics Valeryi Zhykov, acting head of the Department of Microelectronics Oleksandr Borysov, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity of the Department of International Cooperation Andriy Shysholin and others.
Andriy Shysholin gave a presentation for the guests, and Guo Xiaoping spoke about the university he leads. After that, the participants discussed the most promising directions of cooperation. The discussion was completed by signing the Memorandum.
As indicated in the documents, it was concluded with the purpose of deepening cooperation within the framework of realization of the large-scale initiative of the Chinese government “One zone, one way” in the field of science and education. The Memorandum stipulates that its participants will promote academic exchanges, the development of joint training programs for bachelors and young teachers, the organization of joint research projects and research programs, joint seminars and scientific-practical conferences, implementation of joint innovation projects with the possible involvement of other interested parties, etc. The development and implementation of specific activities within the framework of the Memorandum will start in 2019.
Following the signing of the Memorandum, members of the delegation of the Quanzhou University of Information Technology visited the Faculty of Electronics.
