On September 1, one of the most important events in the life of the second year students of Institute of Specialized Communication and Information Security of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute" took place. On the Square of Knowledge of the university, they swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people. 126 young soldiers joined the ranks of the State Service for Specialized Communication and Information Security of Ukraine.
Not only representatives of the administration of the State Service for Specialized Communication and Information Security of Ukraine and the university and institute administration, but also their relatives and friends came to congratulate them on this solemn event.
In a welcoming speech, the head of the Institute, Colonel Alexander Puchkov, emphasized that the cadets make a Military oath in epoch-making times when Ukraine defends its independence and territorial integrity with arms. He encouraged them to be always faithful to the words of the Military Oath and to remember that day as a special day of an immutable oath of allegiance to Ukraine.
The cadets were also congratulated by Major General Oleksandr Chauzov, the First Deputy Head of the State Service for Specialized Communication and Information Security of Ukraine; Mykhailo Zgurovsky, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Dmytro Andrievsky, President of the KPI Graduate Association and People's Deputy of Ukraine; Oleksiy Khahlyuk, Head of the Expert Group of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and graduate of the Institute. Mykola Maksymenko spoke on behalf of the parents in front of the young servicemen. On behalf of the personnel, cadet Kateryna Hrytsun gave a short speech.
Mitrotar archpriest Pavlo Starodub, the rector of the Church of St. John of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate, blessed the future officers and served the solemn prayer.
The solemn ritual of the military oath was completed by the solemn march of the entire staff of the Institute.
