February 27, 2018, the 1st stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad on the discipline “Theoretical Mechanics” was held among the students of the Igor Sikorsky KPI.
The Olympiad was attended by 28 students, representing four faculties and institutes: MMI, FAKS, IChE, FIE.
Responsible for the Olympiad was the Professor of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics I.V. Yanchevsky
The tasks of the Olympiad included nine tasks in the main sections of theoretical mechanics: statics, kinematics, dynamics and analytical mechanics. Static tasks were evaluated at a total of 20 points, from kinematics - 35 points, from dynamics and analytical mechanics – to 45 points, in total the maximum score of the competition is 100.
The winners were:
- 1st place - Bogdan Repin, MMI, group MP-61, II course;
- 2nd place - Alexander Dernovy, MMI, group MI-61-1, II course;
