On November 6, on the day of the 74th anniversary of the Nazis’ exile from the city of Kiev the KPI hoste the ceremony to honor the polytechnic who died during the Second World War.
In 1943, during the Kiev offensive operation, 15 German divisions were defeated. The Kiev grouping of the enemy was defeated. On November 6, 1943, Nazis were driven out from the capital of the Ukrainian SSR. In this area, a strategic springboard was created, which played an important role in the battles for the Right-Bank Ukraine.
According to historical researches in the battle for Kyiv almost 500 thousand people have died. Among them there were 45 Kiev Polytechnicians. And in 163 students, teachers and employees of the KPI has paid for the victory in 1945.
The university authorities, students, students of the Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection of the KPI took part in the memorial events with the laying of flowers to the monument to the dead polytechnicians.
