On September 2, 2017, at the Znan Square, cadets of the 2nd year of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky" swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
The adoption of the Military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people is an extraordinary event in the life of the institute, which is a real core of training the officers-specialists with higher technical education for the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.
The institute harmoniously combines the traditions of the classical European and national military schools, creatively uses the experience of training military experts from advanced countries of the world, the high dynamics of the development the scientific-material base and the academic potential.
During the period of gaining higher education at the institute, cadets receive unique training. The laborious work of the entire staff of the Institute systematically and sequentially forms the educational, professional, general cultural and patriotic worldview the future officers of the State Special Communication Service.
The compilation of the Military Oath was preceded by a tense course of primary special (military) training in field conditions: off-duty and practical classes, firing, performance of established sport standards, etc.
To greet young soldiers with this important step in their lives came relatives and close ones, honorary guests. The uplifting mood prevailed on the square that day.
The head of the institute, Colonel O. Puchkov, congratulated the personnel assets of the 2nd year of the acceptance of the Military oath and wished the country, institute and parents always were proud of them, and the perfect and honest fulfillment of military duty was the glory of Ukraine. The colonel O. Chauzov, Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of State Special Communication Service, congratulated with this event in the life of the students. He mentioned that the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine employed 104 military servicemen, which should become an example of a dedicated work and honorable service for Ukrainian people sake.
With warm congratulatory words and instructions discoursed the principal of the KPI named after Igor Sikorsky, M. Zgurovsky, graduated KPI student and the deputy of Ukraine D.Andriyevsky, graduated KPI student O. Khahlyuk. And on behalf of the cadets- cadet V. Barchenko. After the ceremonial ritual, the representative of the clergy, the Mitred Archpriest, the Father Superior of St. John cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Church of the Kiev Patriarchate Pavel Starodub blessed the young replenishment.
The convention of compilation the Military oath ended with the ceremonial march of the personnel assets. The musical accompaniment of the festive event was provided by the orchestra of the 10th Territorial government communication center. An unforgettable square-concert in their performance was a highlight of the event.
